Our assistance in resolving disputes is based on top-level legal work. We are able to assist clients in related litigation areas such as the media and PR, financing litigation as well as financial and technical analyses.

Representing clients before courts in commercial litigation

We represent clients in all practice areas, primarily to resolve difficult commercial disputes. We have extensive experience in resolving disputes essentially in all business sectors. Given the size of our legal team and the scope of services provided by them, we have personal experience with a considerable number of judges working in the Czech and Slovak Republics. We represent clients in all stages of court proceedings, including proceedings before the Supreme and Constitutional Courts of the Czech Republic.

Representing clients in arbitration proceedings

We have represented our clients’ interests in several dozens of disputes before both Czech and foreign arbitration institutions, such as the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris, the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and other arbitration institutions. Our firm’s partners are highly experienced in arbitration proceedings, themselves serving as arbitrators of the Czech Arbitration Court attached to the ECCR and ACCR, the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the Exchange Court of Arbitration attached to the Prague Stock Exchange.

Disputes involving industrial rights and copyright

Thanks to a unique combination of attorneys specialising in disputes arising out of industrial rights and our patent team including experienced in-house patent agents, we are capable of representing our clients in the most complex cases involving trademarks, designs, patents, utility models, and copyright. We have successfully represented major global corporations in cases entailing infringement of intellectual property rights, parallel imports, and counterfeits in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Representing clients in judicial reviews of administrative decisions

We have extensive experience in representing clients in judicial reviews of decisions made by administrative authorities in the Czech and Slovak Republics, including representation before the Supreme Administrative Court. We have defended our clients’ interests in actions against decisions made by various administrative authorities, including decisions made by the Financial Administration, decisions in construction law or decisions issued by the Office for the Protection of Competition, the Office for Personal Data Protection, etc.

Representing clients before international courts

We represent our clients before international courts including the Court of Justice of the European Union (Luxembourg), the European Court for Human Rights (Strasbourg), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (Washington) and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Lausanne).

Representing clients abroad

In case of litigation before foreign courts, we search for the most suitable foreign law firm to coordinate the legal representation of our client. Our extensive network of international contacts enables us to find the right attorney for each and every dispute abroad, be it a prestigious international law firm or a local attorney with necessary specific knowledge. Given the significant position of our law firm in Central Europe, renowned international law firms engage us as legal advisors in court and arbitration proceedings with a Czech or Slovak element.

Ensuring the enforcement of judicial decisions and arbitration awards

We also provide legal services related to the enforcement of judicial decisions and arbitration awards after termination of the given proceedings. We cooperate closely with leading enforcement offices in the Czech and Slovak Republics, detective and security agencies and field workers.

Out-of-court dispute resolution

We assist our clients in all litigation stages including out-of-court settlement. Our attorneys have substantial experience with amicable dispute resolution and also serve as registered mediators in this area.
