Petr Kadlec specializes in contract law, public procurement law, competition law, including state aid and EU grants, information technology and cybersecurity law, energy law, and internal fraud investigations. Petr has extensive experience with significant public sector projects and frequently represents in procedures before administrative bodies and administrative courts in the Czech Republic as well as before the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the EU.

Petr is a member of the board of appeals of the Czech Energy Regulatory Office and a member of the board of appeals of the Czech National Cyber and Information Security Agency.

Petr initially joined HAVEL & PARTNERS in 2003 and rejoined the firm as a partner in January 2011, after he had served as an EU official investigating anticompetitive practices at the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission (DG COMP) in Brussels between 2007 and 2010.

In 2001, Petr was a member of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) diplomatic mission in Kosovo participating in the post-war reconstruction of public administration. Petr gained his first experience in the legal business as a paralegal in the Prague office of Hogan & Hartson (Hogan Lovells) in 1999.
