Petra Pipková specialises in competition law and its private enforcement.
In her practice, Petra advises clients on civil procedures related to competition law, as well as proceedings held before the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition and the European Commission. In this context, she addresses anti-competitive practices (cartels and abuse of dominance) and significant market power in the food industry.
Petra provides reactive advice to clients as well as proactive assistance in preventing anti-competitive practices. She supports clients in setting up their business strategies so as to be compliant with competition law, trains their employees and draws up compliance manuals for them.
Before joining our law firm in 2011, Petra worked at the Institute for European Tort Law (Institut für Europäisches Schadenersatzrecht) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften) as a research assistant. In addition, she has been working at the Centre for Comparative Legal Studies of the Charles University Faculty of Law as research associate since 2011, where she also lectures on competition law and civil law. Petra is a co-author of commentaries to the Civil Code, and the author of numerous publications on competition and civil law.
