Roman Světnický specialises in competition law, public sector law and regulation. He has been working with our law firm in various positions since 2010.

In the field of competition law, Roman provides legal advice on cartels, abuse of dominance, competition law assessment of mergers and acquisitions (including foreign investment review), as well as state aid and abuse of significant market power. In his practice Roman has, among other things, represented many leading companies in proceedings before the Office for the Protection of Competition and in the administrative courts. He also provides legal advice in connection with the analysis of clients’ planned projects in terms of their compliance with competition law.

Roman has broad experience in providing legal advice on compliance. Within the firm, he is involved, inter alia, in the preparation and implementation of competition law audits, professional training in competition law for company employees and management, and the preparation of tailored compliance manuals.
